Our policy applies to all classes at Bi’an Mandarin, where we are committed to providing the best learning experience for children. By registering your child, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to our policy. To help us maintain a safe, productive, and engaging learning environment for every child, please review and share this policy with all family members and caregivers who accompany your child to Bi’an Mandarin.
- Full payment is required to confirm a student’s enrollment and attendance in class.
- A $40 non-refundable registration fee is required for each student upon enrollment. Registration fee applies only to the first child enrolled. Siblings DO NOT need to pay the registration fee when registering for classes.
- Bi’an Mandarin offers a 5% discount for each additional full sibling registration.
- Payment Options: Cash, Check, Zelle, Venmo, Credit Card (add 2.9% surcharge).
- Commitment to language learning is essential, as consistent practice and dedication are key to mastering new skills and achieving fluency.
If you withdraw before the term begins, you will receive a full refund minus a $40 registration fee. Withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing to bianmandarin@gmail.com.
No refunds or credit transfers will be issued after the first class of each term.
- If your child is feeling unwell or sick, please keep them home. Students must be fever-free for 24 hours before returning to class.
- For absences, please email us at least 24 hours in advance at bianmandarin@gmail.com or call us at 347-258-9356. Given our small class sizes, each student’s presence is essential to the group’s balance.
- Bi’an Mandarin offers TWO make-up class per semester, subject to availability, if we receive at least 24 hours’ notice via email. While we strive to accommodate make-up requests, we cannot guarantee the same teacher, level, or schedule.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours cannot be rescheduled.
- Make-up classes must be scheduled in advance and completed within the current session. They do not carry over to the next session.
- Our waiting area is a quiet zone to ensure a peaceful and undisturbed learning environment. Please help us maintain this space for the benefit of all students.
- Phone calls are not permitted in the waiting area or classroom. Please silence your cell phone and limit use to texting, emailing, or silent streaming.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited. Smoking cigarettes, e-cigarettes, or using any other drugs is NOT allowed on the premises, including the backyard.
- Children waiting with a parent or caregiver during a sibling’s class must be fully supervised and engaged in a quiet activity.
- Due to limited space, students may enter the waiting area no more than 5 minutes before or after class.
- Cell phone use is not permitted inside the classroom.
To ensure the safety of all students, please be mindful of allergies. If eating at Bi’an Mandarin is necessary, please keep food light and tidy—no crumbs, no peanuts or tree nuts, and no choking hazards.
- Students may transfer to another class during the session, subject to availability.
- All group classes require a minimum of 3 registered students and are limited to 12 students max.
- If a class does not meet the minimum enrollment within 14 days of the session’s start, it will be canceled. We will work with families to find a suitable alternative.
- No refunds will be issued after the first day of the session.
Bi’an Mandarin follows New York City Public School closures for snow or inclement weather. Makeup classes are not offered for weather-related closings.
By enrolling, you grant Bi’an Mandarin permission to use photographs, video recordings, or interviews of students for school events and social media.
If you do not want your child included, please inform the program director at the time of registration.
Bi’an Mandarin reserves the right to update its Terms & Conditions at any time without notice. Any changes to programs, products, or services will be subject to the revised terms. Continued participation in our programs implies acceptance of these changes.
